Indian equity benchmarks, the Sensex and Nifty, opened with a strong gap-up on Tuesday, driven by upbeat investor sentiment after the much-awaited trade agreement between India and the United States was finalised late Monday night.
At 9:35 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83921.88 up by 2255.42 points or by 2.76 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25808.95 up by 720.55 points or by 2.87 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 85871.73 and intraday low of 83819.54 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26341.2 and intraday low of 25766.65
