The Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex trimmed early gains as weakness in IT stocks weighed on sentiment, while investors remained cautious ahead of the outcome of assembly elections across four states and one union territory.
At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77277.01 up by 363.51 points or by 0.47 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24107.95 up by 110.4 points or by 0.46 %.
